About Me
I didn’t pick up a camera to build a “brand”. I picked it up to create images that actually mean something. This is about capturing people as they are, at a moment in time they’ll never get back. Confident, present, and unapologetically themselves. If you’re going to be seen, you might as well be seen properly.
Driven by passion
Hi, I’m Kunal. A British photographer based in Bangkok.
I’ve spent years levelling up my fitness, style, and presence, going through several personal transformations.
But each time, I never truly realised the change until it was caught on camera, and I’d think:
“Holy sh**, is that me?”
In the digital age, photography is more than just photographs. We spend so much time looking at our photos that they don’t just capture the external; they shape the internal.
A single photograph can change the way you walk through life.
Before photography, I spent almost a decade as a fitness coach, where I’d often train clients for physique and lifestyle shoots… until one day, I decided I wanted to take the photos myself.
As I enter my mid-thirties, I’m beginning to realise that the running theme of my life’s work has been to help people realise that:
You only live once, so you might as well look badass doing so.
My Approach
What began as a passion project has grown into something far more intentional.
This isn’t just about taking good photos. It’s about helping you see yourself properly, and capturing a version of you that actually reflects how you want to show up in the world.
Every shoot is built around you, your style, your personality, your goals. From location and outfits to angles, lighting and direction, everything is designed to create images that feel natural, confident, and real, not forced or staged.
Because when the photos feel right, everything else starts to follow.
Simple Ideas
Great photos don’t come from overcomplicating things. They come from good lighting, the right environment, strong positioning, and clear direction. Strip everything back, focus on what matters, and the result speaks for itself.
Lasting impact
A strong photo doesn’t just sit in your camera roll.
It changes how you present yourself, how others perceive you, and how you move through life.
My Photography Philosophy
F*ck “Personal Branding”
Personal branding is a thing that you should work on. But you don't need a business justification to get cool photos taken.
You're allowed to post something on your social media which you can look at and say, "Yeah, I'm THAT guy". Or "I'm THAT girl".
Who are you afraid of?
The losers in your following? The ones who might snigger with other losers, all while living vicariously through you?
These people are so irrelevant that they're like dumb people yelling at the TV.
Hate will always come from below.
All the people you admire celebrate who they are. The only people who don't are the ones who have diddly-shit to celebrate.
The number one reason you should do a shoot is so you can celebrate who you are at this moment in life. Because maybe life may take a turn one day, and you lose your mojo.
It's these artistic memories, that show you in all your current glory, that'll remind you of who the fuck you are.
And if those photos happen to build your personal brand. Or get you more matches on dating apps. Or do absolutely nothing except raise your self-esteem by one point in a world that's trying to make you feel like nothing.
Well then, f*ck me, you don't even need to think about the ROI.
You're not doing a photoshoot, you're commissioning your portrait. Like how kings and queens once did, because this is all about legacy.
If people are watching, let's give them something to see.
My Origin Story
Why I Became A Photographer
When I moved to SE Asia in November 2023, I had an online fitness coaching business bringing in around £4-5k per month. But I hated this business.
I enjoyed personal training because I was on my feet and interacting with people all day. But online coaching felt like a lonely desk job where I'd never even meet my clients. I felt less like a trainer and more like a fitness content creator. And the thing is I love fitness, but I don’t love it enough to spend the rest of my life talking about it. I wasn’t prepared to do what was required to reach the top 10%.
So for two years I kept the business going, still giving my clients everything, while quietly looking for a way out.
I tried ghostwriting. Made some money. Then realised AI was coming for that field faster than I could build in it.
Then I tried to start a clothing brand for the modern travelling entrepreneur. I didn't know what I was doing but I went to trade shows, spoke to people, and figured out how to design and market clothes. I spent a month in Vietnam riding around on a bike, visiting factories. Most were unsuitable, but then I finally found one that was perfect. Just as I was about to put the money down for the first order, they ghosted me.
I felt defeated. All that work, and back to square one.
My savings were running thin and coaching enquiries were drying up. So I sat down at my favourite café in Bangkok and brainstormed a survival plan. I needed something quick to master, quick to monetise, and with ROI beyond just money.
Photography checked every box and, most importantly, the idea got me fired up in life again.
I’d never held a professional camera in my life, but I knew I had an artistic mind. I made the decision that day, picked the brain of a photographer friend, and two days later used a chunk of my remaining savings to buy a second-hand camera.
For the next ten days I went out and practiced like a lunatic.
One quiet Sunday morning I went to Chinatown and took a photo of a cat chilling in front of a motorbike. I posted it on Instagram, someone reached out for a shoot, and I did it for free. Three weeks later I made my first $199.
8 months later, well, have a look at my grid.
